Our Story

Our story began in 2011, long before there was a name for what we were building.

What started as a shared passion for marching band design quickly grew into something deeper. Working side by side, we discovered that the most successful programs weren’t defined solely by their performances, but by their people, their purpose, and the culture that surrounded them. Show design became a vehicle for something bigger—leadership, trust, growth, and belonging.

As our work evolved, so did our focus. We began teaching leadership principles, mentoring students and educators, and helping programs think more intentionally about curriculum and culture. In 2021, we both earned our Master’s Degrees in Educational Leadership, an experience that strengthened our practice and gave greater clarity and structure to the work we had already been doing.

That commitment to growth continues today. Josh is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Strategic Leadership while Kathy continues her work facilitating professional training.  Together, we continue to refine our approach—bridging research, real-world experience, and practical implementation.

Since then, we have partnered with programs and organizations to support show design, leadership development, and culture-building efforts that extend far beyond a single season or performance. Whether we are shaping a production, coaching leaders, or working through systems and practices, our focus remains the same: building strong, healthy cultures where people feel valued and empowered to succeed.

At the heart of our work is a simple belief—great outcomes are the result of intentional culture. We share our experiences, lessons learned, and proven practices so others can create positive, sustainable environments where individuals and organizations thrive. This is the work we believe in.

This is the story we’re still writing.
